‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ awards submissions: Who’s in lead? Who’s in supporting?
“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” has revealed to Gold Derby its awards submissions strategy for the 2025 Oscars and other upcoming kudos. Directed by Tim Burton, this highly anticipated sequel to 1988’s “Beetlejuice” opened on Sept. 6, 2024, and was able to cross the $100 million mark in the U.S. within only three days. He truly is the ghost with the most!
The Warner Bros. movie takes place more than three decades after the first installment, with Michael Keaton‘s titular demon once again antagonizing the Deetz family, including Winona Ryder‘s Lydia and Catherine O’Hara‘s Delia. This time around, there are new characters in the form of Jenna Ortega‘s Astrid (the daughter of Lydia), Monica Bellucci‘s Delores LaFerve (the ex-wife of Beetlejuice), Justin Theroux‘s Rory (the boyfriend of Lydia), Arthur Conti‘s Jeremy Frazier (Astrid’s new love interest), and Willem Dafoe‘s Wolf Jackson (an Afterlife detective).
