Beach bars, restaurants in Naples, Marco: Here's some to try
While the folks at Southern Living recently declared the terrific Kane at Marco Island’s JW Marriott the cream of the crop for Collier County’s beach bars, Naples and Marco have several options to consider.
Baleen, Gumbo Limbo at The Ritz-Carlton and Buzz's Lighthouse get most of the buzz (and crowds) in North Naples, but heading a few miles south might be easier for scoring a table or seat at the bar.
While there are a slew of waterfront dining options, most aren't beachfront bars and restaurants.
These are.
It's actually on Marco: Naples area beach bar named one of the best in the South by Southern Living

Capri Fish House: Parking can be a PITA because it’s so popular; pull up via boat or bike too. It’s the rare spot that just feels easy. Casual dress outside, but the indoor dining room is more formal.

Rhode’s End: Did your invitation to summer in Mykonos go missing? The lightness of décor and food are inspired by Greece and it doesn’t require a day of air travel to get there. Stroll or roll from the beach and dive in. Opens at 11 a.m., food orders must be in by 5 p.m. Bar closes at 6 p.m.

Quinn’s on the Beach: A sister spot to Kane at the JW Marriott, Quinn’s is where chef de cuisine Kristin Nemeth takes a health-forward approach to her menu. After all, she earned certification in nutrition and healthy living from Cornell University. It’s the rare beach bar spot that pays attention to food allergies.

Sunset Grille: Right next to South Beach’s palm-lined public entryway with a parallel ramp, you’ll pass this sports bar if parking at Swallow Avenue's public lot. No need to be a guest at Apollo Condominiums to pick up frosty and frothy pi?a coladas from the bar and head back to your beach chair. Need a break from the sun? Cool off on the shaded terrace where beach views go on forever. Pro tips: Check our weekly restaurant inspections before you decide. And if getting a beer for the beach, no glass bottles are permitted.

Bar at 560: Post-season welcomes non-guests to visit. Casual food, sophisticated vibes a la Monterey: think Laura Dern's house in HBO's series "Big Little Lies." It’s a lovely place to unwind with easier parking than JW up the street. Pro tip: Call to glean if the resort's too busy to accommodate anyone not staying there.
