Baton Rouge woman lives her dream, sings with Lauren Daigle at a Louisiana concert
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A recent high school graduate sang with one of her favorite artists at a concert in Louisiana.
Anna Crasto grew up in Baton Rouge and was part of the most recent graduating class at St. Joseph’s Academy. She got to sing with Lauren Daigle at the Cajundome in Lafayette on June 12, Daigle’s last stop on the Kaleidoscope Tour.
Crasto went to the concert with her friends and mom, the tickets were a graduation gift.
“I’ve always wanted to meet Lauren Daigle because her music means so much to me and she inspires me,” Crasto said.

Thanks to a special sign that read, “Lauren, can I sing Still Rolling Stones with you?” and help from a friend, she got to do more than just meet Daigle.
One of Crasto’s buddies pointed at her and held up the poster when Daigle announced that it was time to read signs in the audience.
Daigle read her sign and asked, “Are you a still rolling stoner?”
“I said yes, and then she invited me up on stage to sing,” Crasto said.
She plans to attend Louisiana State University in the fall, and the pair bonded over a shared love of the Tigers. Daigle showed off her own LSU earrings.
The singer joked the crowd couldn’t leave after Crasto sang because the number was still coming up later in the show.

The Baton Rouge woman said she picked that one “because I love the meaning of the song and it is very sentimental to me.”
Crasto used it for her last solo in the SJA spring concert of her senior year. She called the performance one of her favorite moments in high school.
She admitted to being nervous singing with Daigle and called the entire experience “surreal.”
“It is a moment I will never forget, and I still can hardly believe it actually happened,” she said.
Crasto appreciated the opportunity to meet Daigle and her kindness. At the conclusion of the song, she said the chart-topping singer told her, “I think maybe people might hear your name someday.”
She said Daigle was complimentary of her voice and praised her for having the courage to get up on stage and sing.
“Lauren is amazing, and hearing this from her meant the world to me because I look up to her and I love her music,” she said.

Crasto has been singing for around five years and enjoys different genres of music, including artists like Stevie Nicks, Amy Winehouse, Adele, Chris Stapleton and Bob Marley. She loves “music that has a deeper meaning to it.”
Crasto said she has had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at LSU sporting events and sang as a member of the SJA/Catholic High School Choir at a mass in St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome.
She said that she “would love to pursue music as a career in the future and plan to keep singing.” That could include auditioning for “American Idol” or “The Voice.”
“My dream is to write and record music that will be a comfort for other people,” Crasto said.
