Who is Barron Trump? What to know about Donald Trump's youngest and tallest child
The Trump family is back in the spotlight after Republican nominee and former president Donald Trump won the polls last week in a decisive and stunning victory over Vice President Kamala Harris, securing a second term in office.
While Trump won't be sworn until Jan. 20, 2025, all eyes are on the family and who will be accompanying the president-elect during his second tenure, especially since his daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner served as senior advisers during his first term.
Despite making limited appearances during his father's third presidential campaign, Trump's youngest child, Barron Trump, has created a stir on social media with reports suggesting that he was active behind the scenes, advising Trump on how to connect with younger, Gen Z voters and appearing with popular streamers such as Adin Ross and Bussin' With The Boys. Trump has even credited Barron for convincing him to appear on Joe Rogan's podcast, TODAY reported. The podcast is close to hitting 50 million views, as of Wednesday afternoon.
Married three times, Trump has five children and 10 grandchildren. Here's what to know about the president-elect's youngest child, Barron.
Who is Barron Trump? Mother, siblings
Barron, who turned 18 this year, is the president-elect's youngest son and only child with wife, former supermodel Melania Trump.
He has four half-siblings: Donald Trump Jr., 46, Ivanka Trump, 43, Eric Trump, 40 and Tiffany Trump, 31.
Barron spent much of his childhood at the Trump Tower in Manhattan, living there until his father was sworn in as the 45th president in early 2017, according to the Palm Beach Post, part of the USA TODAY NETWORK. Barron moved into the White House when he was only 11 and lived there with his parents until 2019, when the family permanently relocated to Trump's private club, Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.
On Election Day 2024, Melania posted a picture of her son filling out his ballot paper at the voting booth on social media with the caption: "Voted for the first time - for his dad!"
What college does Barron Trump attend?
Barron Trump is a freshman at New York University's Stern School of Business, his father revealed on Sept. 4.
The youngest child of the president-elect completed his high school education from Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida, before starting fall 2024 classes at NYU.
Barron's decision to attend college in New York is a step away from the family tradition of attending either University of Pennsylvania or Georgetown University, both of which have strong ties to the Trump family. Donald Trump and his other children โ Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump and Tiffany Trump โ have attended or graduated from the prestigious universities in Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., respectively.
However, there is one family member who has ties to NYU. Barron's brother-in-law Jared Kushner. Kushner, who is married to Barronโs half-sister Ivanka, has an undergraduate degree from Harvard and business and law degrees from New York University, according to the Palm Beach Post.
How tall is Barron Trump?
At 6-foot-7, Barron is the tallest of the Trump siblings, and rises almost four inches above his father, who is listed as 6 feet 3 inches, although some reports say he's actually 6'2, the Palm Beach Post reported. Barron's mother, Melania Trump, is 5'11, while half-brothers Donald Trump Jr. and Eric are 6'1 and 6'5, respectively.
Google lists Barron's height at 6 feet, 9 inches, putting him in the same league as NBA giants including LeBron James, Karl Malone, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. However, the Palm Beach Post reported the 18-year-old was 6'7 at his high graduation ceremony in May 2024. Still, a 2-inch growth spurt is possible. Though most men stop growing at 18, after puberty, some may continue to grow into their early 20s, depending on their genetics, according to HealthLine.
