Bad Bunny walked the red carpet at the Met Gala in New York City Monday in Margiela X Louboutin shoes.
The Tibi shoes, featuring a sleek black design, are complemented by a side zipper and an embellishment of white and brown fur on the top. The shoe appeared to be a slip-on designed with a modest heel.
The singer, serving as one of the evening’s co-chairs, wore a custom Maison Margiela suit in navy and red, detailed with white stitching. This ensemble was paired with black diamond-shaped sunglasses, a hat, and black leather gloves. The 30-year-old completed his look by holding a matching bouquet of flowers.
Bad Bunny is no stranger to Margiela, wearing the brand in TIME magazine in 2023. He also wore the brand for a photo shoot in 2019 paired with white sneakers. Bad Bunny has ties to Louboutin, too, starring in a music video with Cardi B who wore a pair pink suede pumps in 2020.
Christian Louboutin is known for his iconic red sole bottoms. The French shoe designer opened his first store in Paris in 1992. Handcrafted in Italy, the high end brand soon was taken up by many Hollywood actresses.
The Met Gala raises funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and celebrates the Costume Institute’s annual exhibits. This year’s theme, “The Garden of Time,” celebrates the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” exhibit. The 2024 event is notably co-chaired by Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
