Backstreet Boys Are Back!... With James Corden on ‘The Late Late Show’

James Corden of The Late Late Show is not happy about the direction in which boy bands are heading, with their skinny jeans, Vans sneakers, and the audacity they have of playing their own musical instruments. Corden wants things to head right back to the boy bands of the 1990s.

“I want matching outfits, synchronized dancing, and way-over-budget music videos,” he said.

That’s when he called in the Backstreet Boys, who performed their 1997 hit “Everybody,” otherwise known as “Backstreet’s Back.” Corden quickly joined the group, donning a black T-shirt and black leather jacket. He even got some lines of his own.

And the synchronized dancing? He got plenty of that. Besides the dancing they each do while singing, they broke it down in the middle of the song and started dancing in unison. It even looked as if they had pulled a synchronized move from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video. The only thing Corden didn’t get out of this boy band experience was the matching outfits.
