'Golden Bachelor' alums arrive in Palm Springs for 'The Golden Wedding'; What we know
I can hear the bells ... and they're coming from the mid-valley.
On Thursday night, 72-year-old Indiana widower Gerry Turner, ABC's first-ever "Golden Bachelor," will marry 70-year-old New Jersey financial adviser Theresa Nist in a live televised ceremony filmed right here in the Coachella Valley.
USA TODAY previously reported that the ceremony would be televised live from Palm Springs, but a quick trip to Instagram today showed that the wedding is mostly likely taking place in La Quinta, based on all the members of Bachelor Nation filming themselves at La Quinta Resort & Club.
Kenny Braasch, who appeared on the 16th season of "The Bachelorette" (with Claire Crawley and Taysha Adams) and won the seventh season of "Bachelor in Paradise," posted an Instagram story with wife (and fellow "Bachelor in Paradise" alum) Mari Pepin arriving at Palm Springs International Airport Wednesday, followed by several videos of them at La Quinta Resort. One of the videos was Pepin showing off a tote bag with the message "The Golden Wedding 2024."

Recent "Bachelor in Paradise" alum Brayden Bowers was tagged in Braasch's story as he ate breakfast on what appears to be the patio near one of the 41 pools at La Quinta Resort (including a menu with the resort's logo on it), and on his own story, he shared videos from what appears to be a welcome party for wedding guests at the resort's Adobe Grill, featuring former "Bachelorette" Charity Lawson alongside former "Golden Bachelor" contestants Faith Martin, Ellen Goltzer, Kathy Swarts, Joan Vassos, Nancy Hulkower and many more.
In the Nov. 30 finale of the reality dating show's first senior edition, Turner chose his bride after narrowing it down from 22 contestants. During the "After the Final Rose" special following the finale, host Jesse Palmer revealed that the couple would be getting married in a televised, two-hour production dubbed "The Golden Wedding.”
"The Golden Wedding” airs live Thursday, Jan. 4, at 8 EST/PST on ABC.
