Ayo Edebiri Can’t Stop Wearing This Pair of Gianvito Rossi’s Minimalist Sandals
Ayo Edebiri, one of Hollywood’s funniest and most charming rising actresses, has proven herself to be not only a Golden Globe-winning talent but also a red carpet icon.
Stars like Edebiri, who works with stylist Danielle Goldberg, know full well that picking out the right footwear for a premiere or awards show can be a tricky task — but “The Bear” star has found a reliable formal sandal in luxury footwear brand Gianvito Rossi. While she might wear another silhouette like a pump sometimes, it’s clear that Gianvito Rossi’s Ribbon Stiletto has become her go-to. The actress has showcased the versatile minimalist sandal from the label at various events as of late.

Edebiri attended the NAACP Image Awards on Feb. 22 wearing a sparkling silver Versace dress with a metallic silver version of Gianvito Rossi’s Ribbon Stiletto. With an uncomplicated yet chic design, the shoe features a horizontal strap across the toes in addition to another wrapping around the ankle. The silhouette also includes a square toe and, as the name suggests, a stiletto heel. The gold Ribbon buckle adorns the ankle strap, providing an understated shine to the footwear look. The leather shoes are crafted in Italy.
Edebiri also showcased the $895 Ribbon Stiletto when attending the premiere of the upcoming A24 film “Opus,” a horror/musical in which she stars. On that day, a black version of the style served as a subtle complement to an asymmetrical red dress from Proenza Schouler with a loose top and a flowing skirt featuring a spiky hemline.
Though obscured in this photo, Edebiri matched her black velvet Colleen Allen gown to Gianvito Rossi’s black Ribbon heels when she attended the “SNL50: The Anniversary Special.” It was a short sleeve, floor-length dress with a scoop neck and column skirt. A choker necklace accented the dress.
In another instance included in the actress’ Gianvito streak, Edebiri appeared at this year’s DGA Awards wearing the black Ribbon Stiletto with an elegant satin dress from Khaite in a red wine hue.
The black sandals came in handy yet again at the AFI Awards, when they helped to unify a monochromatic ensemble including a fringy skirt and a collared shirt.
At the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards in 2024, Edebiri picked up the black of her multi-colored custom Bottega Veneta dress with, you guessed it, a black pair of Ribbon Stiletto sandals. The glossy staple shoes served as a grounding accompaniment to the vibrant strapless gown.
