Ariana Grande Encourages Voter Registration During Sweetener Tour With #ThankUNextGen Initiative
Ariana Grande kicked off her Sweetener tour on Monday night (Mar. 18) in Albany, New York, and she’s using the gig to prepare her fans for the 2020 presidential election.
Her initiative, #ThankUNextGen, allows fans to register to vote at her concert or simply by texting ‘ARIANA’. She took to Instagram to post a photo of the registration booths at her tour stops, complete with a sign that reads “You like my rights? Gee thanks, just voted,” punnily referencing her smash hit, “7 Rings.”

The initiative is in collaboration with HeadCount, which uses music to educate the youth on voting and encourage them to participate in the democratic process.
Grande has long been an advocate for voter registration. Back in October 2018, the March For Our Lives website crashed when Arianators stormed the website following the singer’s post sharing voter registration deadlines.
