Another drive-thru coffee shop enters Jacksonville market. Meet Red Owl.
A South Georgia coffee company has crossed the state line to set up shop in Clay County with plans to open more drive-thru cafes in Northeast Florida.
Red Owl Coffee Company will celebrate the grand opening Saturday of its first Jacksonville-area store at 208 Blanding Blvd. in Orange Park. The coffee shop replaces a former Krystal restaurant.
In the works are Red Owl locations at 5720 University Blvd. in Jacksonville's Englewood area, and in St. Augustine Beach, Tallahassee and Ocala, the company's website shows.
Founded in Valdosta, Ga., seven years ago, Red Owl is known for its "craft-roasted coffee beans" which are at the heart of its signature hot, iced and frozen specialty coffees, espresso, lattes and frappes.
