Anna Sawai appeared on an episode of “Late Night With Seth Meyers” which aired yesterday on NBC. The Japanese actress spoke about her Emmy nomination for her role as Toda Mariko in “Shōgun,” being in a J-pop group and her drama television show “Pachinko.”
For her interview, the singer donned a pair of geometric black sandal heels. The neutral style featured black leather uppers, thin glossy straps, adjustable buckle closures, square open toes and lofty thick flat 2 to 3-inch block heels. The unique shape of Sawai’s heels was eye-catching, bringing diversity to her otherwise simplistic silhouette. Additionally, the neutral black colorway of Sawai’s shoes created a cohesive monochrome appearance when paired with her look for the day.
Sandal heels are coming back in style in a major way. The breezy silhouette is perfect for hot summer days, given that the minimal strappy construction allows the wearer’s feet to breathe. Similar styles to the Japanese actress’ own can be purchased from brands like The Row, Cole Haan, Nine West and Michael Kors, among others.
Flirty and sweet, the “Fast X” star donned an all-black dress. The garment sat off-the-shoulders and featured a structural bodice and a textural draped short skirt. Sawai’s look was simple but effective, paying homage to her affinity for neutral but dynamic silhouettes.
When it comes to footwear, Sawai’s choices are simplistic but colorful, usually fitted with playful touches. For formal occasions, the singer can be found in styles hailing from brands like Casadei and Jimmy Choo. On casual days, Sawai reaches for New Balance styles.
Nominations for the 76th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were announced on July 17. Sawai is nominated for “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series” along with stars like Jennifer Aniston for “The Morning Show,” Reese Witherspoon for “The Morning Show” and Maya Erskine for “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.”
