Anderson Cooper Re-Ups With CNN
Anderson Cooper has re-upped at CNN, putting the kibosh on all that chatter he might join pal Kelly Ripa on ABC’s morning talk show, Live with Kelly and…
CNN confirmed that Cooper has a long-term deal, opting to remain a primetime star on the cable news network and covering a presidential election that has the whole world by the throat, among other major stories, rather than replace Michael Strahan as Ripa’s foil. Strahan left the gig in May so he could join ABC News as one of the hosts of Good Morning America.
Cooper, who has hosted CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360° since 2003, will continue his other gig as a correspondent at CBS News’s 60 Minutes, a position he’s held since ’07.
