Former BacheloretteAli Fedotowsky may be a red carpet pro now — but early in her career as a correspondent, things didn't go so smoothly.
In fact, Ali says that on her very first day as E! News reporter, Jake Gyllenhaal accidentally made her cry.
In a recent episode of the Women On Toppodcast, Ali joked that she was "going to Taylor Swift" Jake by revealing exactly what went down.
"Jake Gyllenhaal shows up for the red carpet…My first red carpet for E! News…He walks up, I’m shaking in my heels," Ali explained.
She continued, "I say to him, 'Hi, Jake who’d you bring tonight?' Like, for a date, like, who’s your date tonight? …He goes, 'bye bye,' and walked away from me.”
Ali admits that when he left, she started to cry, worried that she was going to lose her job over the failed interview.
Although the interaction with Jake had made her upset, she says he proceeded to do it to the interviewer right next to her as well.
"There’s an interviewer next to me and her question to him was 'So, if you don’t get an Oscar for this film, those tattoos totally should,' because he was all tatted up for his film," Ali shared. "He goes ‘bye’ and walked away because he is a serious actor."
Ali added that celebrities who are rude on red carpets really bother her because she knows how easy it is to be kind at those sorts of events.
“I’ve walked so many red carpets because of The Bachelorette and done countless interviews and I know how easy it is to be nice,” Ali explained.
And while Jake's comments really got to her, she shouted out many of the nice celebrities she'd encountered including Tom Hanks, Kris Jenner, and Kim Kardashian.
