Alex Trebek Recites ’90s R&B Lyrics on ‘Jeopardy’
Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek showed off his vocal prowess when the category “’90s R&B Hitmakers” was introduced on the show, Thursday. And the Canadian-American had fans swooning as he recited lyric after lyric of smooth R&B.
Trebek quoted famous lyrics from the biggest names of the ’90s like Color Me Badd, Boyz II Men, and TLC. He might be even better at reciting R&B than he is at rapping, which he did a few weeks back during the College Championship.
Twitter was abuzz, and a fan tweeted, “Every category needs to be 90’s R&B just to hear Alex read the lyrics.” While that would be great, I believe Trebek said it best when he quoted En Vogue: “No, you’re never gonna get it (sweet lovin’), never ever gonna get it (my lovin’) no, you’re never ever gonna get it.”
Jeopardy! airs weekdays at 7 p.m. on ABC.
