Alex Rodriguez says Jennifer Lopez is 'nervous' over 'responsibility' of inauguration performance
Alex Rodriguez appeared Monday on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and discussed Jennifer Lopez’s upcoming performance at the inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. While Lopez has been a superstar for more than two decades and has performed thousands of times, Rodriguez revealed that this performance has her a little nervous.
“To think in the span of 12 months she's done the Super Bowl, New Year's, and now the inaugural. It's unbelievable!” Rodriguez said. “And what's interesting is she's most nervous about Washington, D.C., because of the responsibility, and she wants more than anything, like all of us, to bring people together, to inspire. And you know, music and sports does that better than anything.”
The celebration surrounding the Jan. 20 event will be packed with big-name performers, such as Lady Gaga and Garth Brooks. However, Rodriguez believes that Lopez’s performance will definitely be one of the more memorable acts.
“She has something really cool,” said Rodriguez. “So you're going to be surprised. You're going to love it.”
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.
