Aldis Hodge Shares His Leverage: Redemption Season 3 Status, Weighs In on Last Finale’s Hawkman Nod
The con is still on — at least a teeny-tiny bit? — for Aldis Hodge.
Hodge, who currently can be seen headlining Prime Video’s Alex Cross series, of course starred in all five seasons of TNT’s Leverage, as “The Hacker” aka Alec Hardison.

When the caper drama was revived in summer 2021 as Freevee’s Leverage: Redemption, Hodge — as did co-stars Gina Bellman, Christian Kane and Beth Riesgraf — reprised his role from the TNT series. But because of assorted commitments, including Showtime’s City on a Hill and the DC movie Black Adam, Hodge has only appeared intermittently as Hardison.
In fact, Hardison last season appeared via videoconference from the cosmos, where he was working to fix a satellite that a rich movie star uses to help refugees around the world. And as the Season 2 finale drew to a close, Hardison reported to Parker & Co. that his gig in space had been extended by two months, so he tasked the team with planning plan an out-of-this-world heist, by “stealing” him from the satellite station he now calls home.
But to hear Hodge now tell it, that heist might turn out to have been a bust.
Earlier this month, TVLine asked Hodge how much Hardison Leverage: Redemption fans can expect in Season 3, which is due to release in 2025 on Prime Video proper. “You might be get a little bit,” he allowed, “but I’m going to be honest with you — you might not get enough, because I was little occupied shooting Season 2 of Cross” this past summer.
Speaking of the in-demand actor’s many gigs, TVLine also asked Hardison about that Season 2 Leverage: Redemption finale, which featured an A+ nod to his Black Adam role.
In that finale, fanboy Hardison fretted over the pop culture fare he’d missed out on while in space, saying, “I done missed three DC movies. Three! I don’t know what’s going on. Who’s fighting who?!”
Was that a deft ad-lib from Hawkman himself?
“No, not at all. That was their doing,” Hodge said of the show’s creative team. “They play along with the fandom, and they had a good time with it!”
Bellman, Kane and Riesgraf are confirmed to return as series regulars for Leverage: Redemption Season 3, as are Noah Wyle and Aleyse Shannon, the spinoff’s two additions (playing “fixer” Harry and “maker” Breanna). Leverage creator John Rogers, meanwhile, came on board as Season 3’s new showrunner.
