AEW Revolution 2024 Results (3/3/24): Sting’s Last Match, World Title Bout, More
All Elite Wrestling delivered a star-studded show with AEW Revolution on March 3.
Among other bouts, Sting competed in his last match as he and Darby Allin will defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship against the Young Bucks. Plus, Samoa Joe defended the AEW World Championship against Swerve Strickland and “Hangman” Adam Page.

Bang Bang Scissor Gang (Jay White, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, Anthony Bowens, Max Caster & Billy Gunn) vs. Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh & Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen) (with Sonjay Dutt & Karen Jarrett)
Max Caster messes up his rap on his way to the ring. Austin Gunn and Isiah Kassidy start the bout. Kassidy hits a dropkick and taunts. Austin gains the upper hand and mocks Kassidy. He tags Colten, and they double-team Isiah. Quen tags in, and they go back and forth. Colten catches him with a dropkick. Caster tags in and slams Quen. Bowens and Caster double-team Quen. Lethal grabs Colten from behind, and Quen drops him with a dropkick. Jarrett tags in and takes control.
Karen chokes Colten while the referee is distracted. Jarrett and his teammates strut. Lethal and Jarrett double-team Colten. Mack tags in and continues to control the action. Quen tags back in and grounds Colten. Jarrett’s team isolates Colten. Kassidy accidentally collides with his partners as Colten evades a double-team and tags Bowens, who clears house with a flurry of offense. Dutt tries to distract him, and Bowens drops him, but Lethal hits the Lethal Combination. Singh tags in and dominates Bowens. Lethal dumps him with a delayed vertical suplex. Jarrett floors Bowens with a Russian legsweep.
Bowens rallies and tags Billy Gunn, who clears house. Mack and Lethal double-team Billy. Kassidy and Quen both hit dives onto Billy. Billy dodges a splash from Mack. White tags in. The Gunns drop Kassidy with 4:10 to Yuma, but Quen takes them down. The Acclaimed hit the Arrival as tge match breaks down in chaos. Singh squares off with White. Billy steps up to the big man, who overpowers the Bang Bang Scissor Gang. They gang up on him, and Billy hits the Fameasser. White hits the Bladerunner on Mack for the win.

The Bang Bang Scissor Gang celebrates after the bout. White gets a mic. He mocks Caster’s botched rap and says “Guns Up” for the Bullet Club Gold. White highlights the importance of Greensboro and hypes up the card. He says Bang Bang Scissor Gang is the greatest faction in the greatest wrestling company. He calls himself one of the greatest of all time and says he can remind everyone what made him the Catalyst of Professional Wrestling at any time. White says he’s going to handle some big business in Boston.

Backstage, Doc Sampson provides an update on AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy. He says Cassidy needs to tape his back and his ribs. Trent Beretta says the Best Friends have his back, but Orange asks them to stay in the back so they don’t get hurt.
A vignette hypes up PAC, who has been absent for several months. He says Tony Khan will never get rid of him. PAC says he will be back soon, whether you like it or not.

Kris Statlander & Willow Nightingale vs. Skye Blue & Julia Hart
Blue and Nightingale start the bout. Nightingale gains the upper hand and double-teams Blue with Nightingale. Statlander slams Hart after she tags in. Kris and Willow continue to control the action. Hart gains the upper hand and double-teams Willow with Blue. Willow tries to rally, but Hart and Blue maintain the advantage. Statlander tags in and fires up with a flurry of offense. Hart goes for the Hartless, but Statlander evades it. Statlander and Nightingale double-team Hart and Blue.
Willow dumps Hart with a slam. Statlander takes out Blue at ringside. Willow gets a two-count with a slam. Nightingale goes for the Doctor Bomb, but Hart counters, and Blue rocks her with a kick. Statlander and Hart battle it out with some strikes. Hart drops the former champion and hits a moonsault, but Willow breaks up the pin. Blue takes Willow down at ringside. She tags in, but Statlander levels her and Hart with a double clothesline. Blue goes for the Code Blue, but Willow pounces her. Willow hits the Doctor Bomb on Blue for the win.

TNT Championship: Christian Cage (c) (with Nick Wayne, Killswitch, and Mother Wayne) vs. Daniel Garcia
Garcia grabs the title and poses with it before the match starts. Garcia and Cage feel each other out. He gains the upper hand, and Cage heads to the outside to regroup. Back in the ring, they continue to feel each other out. Cage snaps Garcia’s neck on the ropes and high-fives Mother Wayne at ringside. He hits Garcia with a neckbreaker and grounds him. Christian flexes and continues to control the action. Garcia fires up, but Cage sends him to the outside and dives onto him.
Cage talks some trash. Garcia takes out his ankle and targets it. He briefly traps him in an ankle lock, but Cage sends him to the outside. Cage sends Garcia crashing into the barricade and slams him into the ring post. Garcia rallies and takes Cage down. He punches Cage in the corner. He gets a two-count with a roll-up. Cage stands on top of Garcia, pressing him into the ropes. Garcia blocks a punch and sends Cage flying into the steel steps. Garcia blocks the Killswitch but gets drilled with a knee. He traps Cage in the ankle lock again. Cage sends Garcia vaulting into the corner. Killswitch slams Garcia while the referee isn’t looking. Cage hits a frog splash for a two-count.
Killswitch goes to interfere again, but “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard runs in and attacks him. Menard stares down Mother Wayne. He takes the fight to Killswitch, and they head up the ramp. Cage’s leg gives out during a Spear attempt, and Garcia hits a piledriver for a near fall. Garcia gets a two-count with a pin attempt. Nick Wayne hits Garcia with a cheap shot. Cage hits the Killswitch for the win.

Bryan Danielson is shown backstage, and Lexy Nair hypes up the next match.
AEW Continental Crown Championship: Eddie Kingston (c) vs. Bryan Danielson
Kingston and Danielson square off, and they’re evenly matched early on. Kingston takes some strikes from Danielson. Danielson takes him to the mat and kicks him. Kingston lights him up with some machine gun chops and dumps him with a Saito suplex. Kingston dives onto Danielson at ringside. Eddie chops Danielson, but the challenger moves, forcing Kingston to chop the ring post. Danielson suplexes Kingston off the apron.
Danielson wrenches Kingston’s fingers and stomps on his arm. He continues to target the arm with some more kicks. Kingston rallies with an Exploder suplex. He floors Danielson with a DDT and goes for the Stretch Plum. Danielson rocks Kingston with some kicks in the corner. Kingston dodges one kick. Danielson dumps Kingston with a Dragon suplex. He goes for the LeBell Lock and transitions into a submission where he wrenches Kingston’s hand. Danielson hits some vicious elbows. Kingston rallies and hits a Northern Lights Bomb for a two-count.
Kingston drills Danielson with a back fist. Danielson kicks his injured hand and hits the running knee for a two-count. Danielson stomps Kingston and locks in a triangle choke, but Kingston reaches the ropes. “The American Dragon” kicks Kingston. They trade suplex counters, and Kingston dumps him with a half-and-half suplex. They trade blows, and the two foes rock each other with stiff strikes. Kingston takes Danielson down with a lariat and gets the win with a powerbomb.

Kingston stares Danielson down after the match. Per the pre-match stipulation, Danielson has to shake his hand. Danielson is initially hesitant, but he ultimately shakes Kingston’s hand.
All-Star Eight-Man Scramble Match For AEW World Title Shot: HOOK vs. Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Lance Archer (with Jake Roberts) vs. Magnus vs. Wardlow (with Undisputed Kingdom) vs. Chris Jericho vs. Dante Martin
The match quickly breaks down as the competitors brawl. HOOK gets thrown to the outside, leaving the big men alone in the ring. Cage, Archer, Hobbs, and Wardlow trade blows as the fans chant “meat.” Wardlow and Archer are left by themselves, and they go back and forth. Archer vaults off the ropes onto Wardlow. He clashes with Hobbs. Hobbs plants him with a spinebuster. Cage slams his former Team Taz teammate. Wardlow dumps Cage. Jericho hits a Codebreaker. HOOK, Magnus, and Martin trade strikes.
Jericho dives onto Hobbs. Martin and Magnus hit dives as well. HOOK dives onto Cage at ringside. Back in the ring, Martin and Magnus square off, and they go back and forth. Wardlow superplexes Archer. Cage suplexes HOOK. Martin hits a frog splash for a two-count. Martin hits Jericho with a crossbody. Magnus fires up with a flurry of offense. Archer slams Magnus with a chokeslam. Hobbs levels Archer with a clothesline and hits a powerslam. Wardlow suplexes Cage. Suplexes are flying all over the place as Wardlow takes control. HOOK locks Wardlow in the Redrum, and Jericho locks him in the Liontamer. HOOK floors Cage with a suplex.
Jericho and HOOK face off and trade blows. HOOK dumps him with a suplex. Hobbs takes control, but Jericho blasts him with a fog machine. Cage drills HOOK with a knee strike. Wardlow nails him with a headbutt. Martin drops Wardlow with a kick and slams Magnus. He dives onto Archer. Wardlow sends Archer to the outside. He blasts HOOK with a headbutt and powerbombs Martin for the win.

AEW Revolution Results Continued
AEW International Championship: Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Roderick Strong (with Undisputed Kingdom)
Strong charges Cassidy, who rolls him up for an early pin attempt. He goes for another pin attempt. Strong drills Cassidy’s injured ribs and takes the fight to him at ringside. He suplexes Cassidy onto the barricade. Cassidy dives onto Strong and hits a diving crossbody. Strong slams him rib-first onto the mat. He grounds Cassidy and continues to hone in on his ribs. Cassidy rallies and slams Strong head-first into the turnbuckle several times. Strong slams Cassidy back-first onto the turnbuckles, sending him crashing to the floor.
Strong maintains the advantage. Cassidy tries to rally, but Strong dumps him with a rib-breaker. Cassidy counters the End of Heartache into a Stunner, but Strong hits another back-breaker. Strong traps Cassidy in a double-legged Boston Crab. He transitions into the Strong-hold, but Cassidy escapes and floors him with a DDT. Cassidy hits a diving DDT. He stomps Strong. Strong hits a knee strike, but Cassidy nails him with a stiff shot. Strong gets his foot on the rope after Cassidy hits the Beach Break.
Strong blocks the Orange Punch and hits the End of Heartache for the win.

Strong celebrates with the Undisputed Kingdom after the bell. Kyle O’Reilly sneaks into the ring and embraces Strong. He gets handed an Undisputed Kingdom shirt, but he refuses it. O’Reilly whispers something to Strong and leaves.

FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) vs. Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli)
Castagnoli and Moxley are wearing shoulder pads like the Legion of Doom for their entrance. Castagnoli and Harwood start the bout and feel each other out. Harwood takes control, and the referee separates them. They trade slaps. Wheeler and Moxley tag in and square off. Moxlet chops Wheeler. Harwood tags in and chops Moxley. Wheeler tags back in and punches Castagnoli. Claudio dumps him out of the ring, and he lands hard on the apron. Wheeler and Moxley brawl in the crowd, and Moxley gets him back in the ring.
Castagnoli and Moxley gang up on Wheeler. Harwood tags in and takes control with a flurry of offense. Castagnoli fires back with a lariat. Harwood is busted open. He dumps Harwood with a powerslam in mid-air. Moxley and Castagnoli hit a double-team for a two-count, and Harwood is bleeding badly. Harwood rallies and gets a two-count with a powerbomb. FTR hits Moxley with a stump piledriver for another two-count. Castagnoli and Moxley hit Harwood with a Doomsday Device, and everyone is down. Castagnoli counters the Shatter Machine, and Claudio swings Harwood. Moxley kicks Dax mid-swing for a two-count.
Moxley bites Harwood’s bloody head. Harwood rocks him with a punch. Wheeler and Harwood double-team Moxley. FTR drop Moxley with the Shatter Machine, but Castagnoli breaks up the pin. Wheeler dives onto him, but Claudio drills him with an uppercut in mid-air. Dax hits Claudio with a piledriver on the floor. Back in the ring, Moxley hits the Death Rider, but Harwood turns it into a pin attempt for a two-count. Moxley goes for the bulldog choke, and Harwood is out.

AEW Women’s World Championship: “Timeless” Toni Storm (c) (with Mariah May and Lutha) vs. Deonna Purrazzo
Mariah May enters as Toni Storm’s initial AEW persona before Storm herself comes out. Purrazzo and Storm feel each other out, and they’re evenly matched early on. The challenger takes control, prompting Storm to head to the outside. Purrazzo hits a sliding dropkick. Storm kicks Purrazzo below the belt and gains the upper hand. She grounds Purrazzo. Storm drops Purrazzo with a clothesline. They trade blows, and Purrazzo fires up with a flurry of offense. She traps Storm in a Fujiwara arm-bar, but Storm gets out of it. Purrazzo controls the action, but Storm gains the upper hand and hits a hip attack in the corner.
Storm gets a two-count with a DDT. The champion wrenches Purrazzo in an ankle lock, but Deonna rallies. She takes Storm down and goes for the arm-bar. Lutha distracts the referee as Storm taps. May distracts Purrazzo, and Storm hits the Storm Zero for the win.

Takeshita fires back with a delayed vertical suplex. He hits a senton and grounds Ospreay. Ospreay fires up with a springboard elbow strike. Ospreay hits a corkscrew kick off the ropes. He dives onto Takeshita at ringside.
Takeshita catches Ospreay by surprise with some kicks and dives onto him at ringside. Ospreay gets his knees up on a senton attempt. Takeshita counters a dive and dumps Ospreay with a German suplex. Ospreay kicks Takeshita, rolls through a suplex, and hits a Spanish fly that leaves both men down. Takeshita and Ospreay trade blows. Ospreay nails Takeshita with an elbow strike, and Takeshita waves off the referee. Takeshita rocks Ospreay with a stiff shot and blasts him with another. Konosuke blasts Ospreay with another blow. They trade counters. Ospreay gets a two-count with a Tiger Driver. Takeshita gets a two-count with the Blue Thunder Bomb.
Ospreay rallies with the Os-cutter. Takeshita nails him with another stiff shot. Ospreay kicks Takeshita. Takeshita slams Ospreay onto the turnbuckle with a brainbuster, and Ospreay lands hard. Takeshita blasts Ospreay with a knee to the face. Ospreay hits Takeshita with a poison-rana. Takeshita slams Ospreay. Ospreay rolls through a wheelbarrow suplex and clotheslines Takeshita. They hit each other with elbow strikes. Ospreay powerbombs Takeshita and hits the Styles Clash for a two-count. Ospreay slams Takeshita with the Tiger Driver ’91 and hits the Hidden Blade for the win.

Samoa Joe Defends The AEW World Title At AEW Revolution
AEW World Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Swerve Strickland vs. “Hangman” Adam Page
Jim Ross joins the commentary team for the bout. Joe, Page, and Swerve square off, and Joe gains the upper hand. Page sends Joe to the outside and slams Strickland. Strickland gets right back to his feet and kicks Joe. Swerve hits a diving uppercut on Page and dives onto Joe at ringside as well. He maintains the advantage by kicking Page. Joe gets back in the ring and takes control by overpowering Page. He traps Page in the STF, but Strickland breaks it up.
Swerve fights his way out of the Muscle Buster. Strickland and Page team up to powerbomb Joe. Page and Strickland battle it out. Swerve counters the Deadeye into a pin attempt, but Joe breaks it up. Strickland rocks Joe with a kick. Page and Strickland keep battling. “Hangman” spikes Strickland with a Tombstone. Page hits a powerbomb, but Strickland dumps him with a flatliner and a suplex for a two-count. Joe fires up with a series of strikes to both challengers. Joe floors Page with a Muscle Buster, but Swerve hits the Swerve Stomp. Strickland huts Joe with the House Call.
Swerve hits the House Call on Page for a two-count. He fights out of a choke attempt by Joe. Strickland plants Joe with a DDT. Swerve hits a 450 splash. He hits the Swerve Stomp, but Page pulls the referee out of the ring. Page gets the title belt and bashes Strickland with it. He hits Swerve with the title again. Page takes Joe down with the Buckshot Lariat and hits a second one, but the referee is down. A second referee comes in and counts the pin, but Joe kicks out. Joe counters another Buckshot Lariat and locks in the rear naked choke, but Swerve breaks it up.
Prince Nana hands Swerve his crown, but he refuses to use it. Strickland rolls up Joe, but Page attacks the referee. Joe takes control and goes for the Muscle Buster, but Swerve fights out of it. Page hits Joe with a Buckshot Lariat, and Swerve drops Page with another. Strickland slams Page with the JML Driver. Joe locks Page in a rear naked choke, and Page taps out.

Tornado Tag Team Match for AEW World Tag Team Championship: Sting & Darby Allin (c) vs. The Young Bucks (Matthew & Nicholas Jackson)
Ric Flair comes out before the bell. Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat is introduced as the special timekeeper, and legends are shown in the crowd. Sting gets a cinematic entrance that highlights his career. Sting’s sons enter dressed as “Surfer Sting” and “Wolfpac Sting.” Sting himself enters to “Seek and Destroy.” Allin dives onto the Young Bucks, and the action is underway. Sting’s songs get involved as they hit Stinger Splashes on the Bucks. Sting traps the Bucks in the Scorpion Deathlock.
Sting sends Nicholas flying over the barricade. Darby dives onto the Bucks, and the champions maintain the advantage. Sting brings out a pane of glass. Sting goes to hit Matthew with a bat, but he moves, so Sting smashes the glass pane. Allin chases Nicholas into the crowd. Sting and Allin fight the Bucks up to the stage. Nicholas slams Allin with a Falcon Arrow off the stage and through a table. Matthew sends Sting crashing through a table with a suplex off the stage.
Back in the ring, the Young Bucks isolate Allin and slam him onto a ladder. Allin rallies and goes for a dive off a ladder, but the Young Bucks move, so Darby crashes through the glass.

The Young Bucks gang up on Sting. Sting rallies, and he fires up after he gets slammed through a table. The Young Bucks slam him through a pane of glass. Matthew hits a Scorpion Death Drop for a two-count.
Ricky Steamboat gets involved, but the Young Bucks attack him. Ric Flair checks on Sting and covers him as Matthew stands over him with a title belt. The Young Bucks superkick Flair and Steamboat. Matthew hits Sting with a belt and pins him for a two-count. The Young Bucks superkick Sting, but he no-sells it. Sting rallies and takes the fight to the Bucks. He hits a Scorpion Death Drop, but Nicholas breaks it up. The Bucks hit Sting with the EVP Trigger, but Sting kicks out.
Sting kicks out at one after another EVP Trigger. Allin breaks up a TK Driver, and Sting hits the Scorpion Death Drop for a two-count. Allin hits the Coffin Drop, and Sting makes Matthew tap out to the Scorpion Death Lock in his last match.

Sting thanks the crowd and says he has been thanking the Greensboro crowd since 1988, when he went 45 minutes with Ric Flair. He thanks Ric Flair. Sting says he wants this to be a night that fans won’t forget for years to come, and he says he won’t forget this night.
