Adam Levine Returning to ‘The Voice’ on Season 27 Coaching Panel Alongside Kelsea Ballerini
The Voice Season 26 is still a few months away, but the musical competition series is already eager for Season 27. On Wednesday, NBC unveiled the coaches panel for the season, set to premiere in Spring 2025, with a mix of new and familiar faces.
Kelsea Ballerini will make her official coaching debut after appearing on The Voice as a battle advisor during season 16 in 2019. The country musician made another appearance on the series in 2021 when she filled in for Kelly Clarkson for a brief stint during season 20. During season 15, Ballerini became the first-ever fifth coach, leading a group of eliminated hopefuls in “The Comeback Stage.”

Season 27 will also mark the grand return of veteran coach Adam Levine. The Maroon 5 frontman departed from the show in 2019 after 16 seasons, the second-longest run in The Voice history. Blake Shelton held the longest streak, remaining on the series for 23 seasons.
Ballerini and Levine will appear on the panel alongside returning coaches John Legend — who appeared from seasons 15 through 22, 24, and 25 — and Michael Bublé, who will make his debut later this year on season 26 alongside Snoop Dogg.
When Levine exited The Voice in 2019, he reflected on his tenure in a lengthy Instagram post beneath a photo of the show’s first coaches — himself, Shelton, Christina Aguilera, and CeeLo Green — on the cover of Rolling Stone.
“We had no idea what we were doing or where it was going. After the first day of shooting, I sat there, stunned. I said to myself ‘theres some magic here. Something is definitely happening,'” he shared at the time. “It went on to be a life shaping experience that will be close to my heart forever. Thank you NBC for signing me up. I am truly honored to have been a part of something I’ll always cherish for the rest of my life.”
Now, he gets to relive it all over again.
