What accident? Carrie Underwood is back to business as usual with full facial photos, NHL performance
Is there any more mystery regarding Carrie Underwood‘s face? If anyone seems over the entire drama— which began last November when Underwood suffered a fall that resulted in facial trauma — it’s Underwood herself, who has returned to a regular social media posting diet allowing fans to see her in her entirety.
The singer proved once and for all she’s done with any disguising, posting an Instagram story on Sunday that zoomed in on her face as she begged viewers for help. (Help with what? Well, husband Mike Fisher was making some irritating squeaky noises while driving — perhaps to amuse son Isaiah.)
If that weren’t enough to prove she’s released her apprehension regarding her appearance, Underwood also made another public performance Sunday, delivering the national anthem before Game 2 of the Nashville Predators vs. Winnipeg Jets 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs series. This is the second time Underwood has done the honor for her hubby’s team (she sang the anthem last year, a season in which the Preds narrowly missed taking home the Cup).
Underwood had teased that she’d do something special for the Predators, telling the Tennessean earlier this month that there were “great surprises” in store for the playoffs. She’s not the only country star who’s performed the anthem this season: Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley, Maren Morris, and Dierks Bentley with Del McCoury have preceded her so far.
Underwood made her live debut post-accident a couple of weeks ago at the 2018 Academy of Country Music Awards, where she performed her new single “Cry Pretty.”
