Two years ago, he saw a need for the darker side of house, from UK garage to bassline, grime, and everything in between. So, he started booking all his favorite acts on weekly basis at the Sound in Hollywood. He called the party Night Bass, and it’s become a top-tier destination for those seeking hot, fresh bass booms in LA and beyond.
He expanded the brand to a label in 2015, and to celebrate, he brought the party on tour. The Night Bass family had so much fun, AC Slater fina do it again, this time packing the Night Bass crew into boats, clubs, and outdoor stages across North America for eight crazy nights he calls Summer Phases.

“The Summer Phases are a series of epic shows spanning the summer, stacked with some of my favorite groundbreaking artists dedicated to pushing the Night Bass sound,” AC Slater says. “We’ve chosen some of the best and unique venues which will be decked out with special decor and visualizations to create the ultimate Night Bass experience people have been asking for.”

Hosted by AC Slater and Night Bass residents Petey Clicks and Bones, Summer Phases will feature rotating appearances from Bots,, Cause & Affect, Chris Lake, Hannah Wants, Hotfire, Jack Beats, Kill Frenzy, Kry Wolf, Landis Lapace, Motez, Redlight, Shift K3y, Sinden, Star Eyes, Stranger, Taiki Nulight, and Wax Motif.
Always prepped for a celebration, Night Bass the label marks the occasion with the release of its third This is Night Bass compilation Sunday, May 15. Of course, Billboard readers should get a little taste, so Slater sent over an exclusive peek at resident Petey Click’s contribution. “Neck Snap” is a filthy heap of brooding bass. Distorted noise, haunting synths, and a threatening vocal sample combine to make your body quake so good, and because Click will play every stop of the Summer Phases tour, it’s a good indication of what crowds are in for.
