50 Cent is bringing a new music and comedy festival to Shreveport, Louisiana, which will be headlined by Muni Long, Katt Williams, Jeremih and more.
On Monday (June 17), Fif announced the news of the event, dubbed the Humor & Harmony Festival, which will take place from August 8 to 11 and be hosted by the rapper and entertainment mogul himself.
“You don’t want to miss this over 29,000 people have registered already,” the New York City native wrote on Instagram. “Go to HumorHarmonyWeekend.Com [bomb emoji] Boom [smoke emoji] 36,000 Super Bowl of comedy, music. Wait till you see who’s confirmed.”
In addition to the aforementioned acts, the Humor & Harmony Festival will include appearances by comedians DC Young Fly, Gary Owens and Bill Bellamy, as well as performances by Cam’ron, French Montana and 2 Chainz, with more guests to be announced.
The Humor & Harmony Festival is 50’s latest move as he prepares to bring his G-Unit Film Studios to Shreveport, where he has joined efforts to assist in the city’s revitalization.
Gerod Durden, a real estate broker who is helping the Queens native to purchase and renovate commercial properties in Shreveport, spoke of the hitmaker’s looming plans to give back to the local community.
“He is very passionate about the city,” Durden said of Fif, revealing that they’ve already closed deals on several properties, with more to come.
“He’s bringing a big jump park here. I mean, it’s a substantial size park. We’re looking at a grocery store in the immediate downtown Shreveport area, and those are ideas that we come up with together with the whole team.”
