A Caribbean couple wanted to bring a taste of their islands to the Treasure Coast. He’s from St. Thomas, Jamaica; she’s from the Bahamas. They hired two Jamaican chefs. The menu is full of traditional dishes and authentic flavors, but they also put their own twist on the food. Read the full story.

Kyle G pays homage to his adopted Italian family with his sixth Treasure Coast restaurant. Authentic dishes include veal saltimbocca, chicken marsala and chicken Milanese. A Vietnamese family has moved its restaurant from Vero Beach to South Hutchinson Island in Fort Pierce. You can build your own bowls of pho, rice or noodles by picking your broth and proteins. Optional sides include fresh basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, jalapeno and lime. Read the full story.
A?aí bowl cafe opens 2nd location
A health food restaurant with a?aí bowls has expanded to a second location in Port St. Lucie. The original location is in downtown Fort Pierce. The owner blends a?aí berries with only minimal slices of banana and strawberry so they don't overpower the a?aí flavor, then adds granola, honey and blueberries. Read the full story.
Fast-food chain closes
Checkers, the fast-food chain for burgers and shakes, closed its only Fort Pierce location at 2050 S. U.S. 1. Company officials did not respond to TCPalm's request for comment. The four remaining locations are:
