3 Kings Island rides set to get new names this year
Three rides at Kings Island are getting new names this year.
The Mason amusement park, which opens for the 2024 season April 20, announced Wednesday three kids' rides in the Planet Snoopy area will be rebranded.
All three rides are part of the upcoming expansion to Planet Snoopy, called Camp Snoopy, which is projected to open in late spring.
Here are the three rides getting new names in 2024:
Race for Your Life Charlie Brown: This ride, which debuted at Kings Island in 1972, will change to Charlie Brown’s Rushing River Log Ride. It's planned to open Memorial Day weekend.
Flying Ace Aerial Chase: This ride will be renamed Woodstock’s Air Rail, where the "Peanuts" character Woodstock has been tasked with delivering Camp Snoopy’s mail.
Woodstock Gliders: Although it's already "Peanuts" themed, this ride will be known as Franklin’s Flyers when it opens this year.
Camp Snoopy will feature two new attractions: Snoopy’s Soap Box Racer roller coaster and the Beagle Scout Acres play area. The Linus’ Launcher ride will also become part of Camp Snoopy when it opens, according to the press release. It will not be renamed.
Camp Snoopy will be located between the Rivertown entrance and the walkway to Soak City and Picnic Grove.
