24 TV Characters That Are The Exact Definition Of "Same Person, Different Font"
I'm sure you've watched a show (or several) and thought, "Huh...why is this character so familiar?" but couldn't quite figure out why/how so many characters could be so, so similar.
And that, my friend, is because of a little thing called character tropes!
So...what is a character trope exactly? *cracks knuckles* Basically, a trope is a universally reused example of a character, theme, or plot that storytellers use. They're pretty much everywhere on TV, in movies, and in books. That's why a bunch of your favorite characters are so alike but have sliiiiight differences or — if you will — the same person in different fonts.
Without further ado, here are my absolute favorite ones on TV:

One sentence description: Suburban mom, with a dead husband and twin brother, who has a habit of holding her neighbors hostage.
