2025 Oscar nominee class photo features 172 stars and filmmakers — but not Kieran Culkin or Karla Sofía Gascón
Timothée Chalamet (A Complete Unknown), Demi Moore (The Substance), Cynthia Erivio and Ariana Grande (Wicked), and Mikey Madison (Anora) joined with fellow Academy Award nominees on Tuesday for the annual Oscar class photo.
The cocktail reception, dinner, and photo opportunity brought together 172 Oscar nominees and was held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. The event replaced the annual Oscar nominees luncheon, which had been scheduled for Feb. 10 but was canceled in response to the Los Angeles wildfires.

Most of the year’s acting nominees were present for the event, including Best Actor contenders Adrien Brody (The Brutalist), Chalamet, Colman Domingo (Sing Sing), Ralph Fiennes (Conclave), and Sebastian Stan (The Apprentice) and Best Actress nominees Erivo, Madison, Moore, and Fernanda Torres. Supporting contenders in attendance included Edward Norton (A Real Pain), Guy Pearce (The Brutalist), and Jeremy Strong (The Apprentice), and Monica Barbaro (A Complete Unknown), Grande, Isabella Rossellini (Conclave), and Zoe Salda?a (Emilia Pérez). Acting nominees who didn’t make it into the photo were Best Supporting Actor contenders Yura Borisov (Anora) and Kieran Culkin (A Real Pain), Best Supporting Actress nominee Felicity Jones (The Brutalist), and — somewhat predictably — Karla Sofía Gascón (Emilia Pérez). The embattled actress, a historic nominee as the first openly trans woman nominated for Best Actress, was exiled from this year’s awards race and campaign after several offensive social media posts she wrote over the last five years resurfaced online. Despite being ousted from the campaign trail after multiple botched apology attempts, the expectation is that Gascón will attend the Oscars on Sunday, marking her first public appearance since the scandal broke last month.
