2024-25 Popejoy new subscriptions sales begin June 11
Jun. 9—It takes months of planning for Popejoy Hall to secure a lineup of entertainment to bring to New Mexicans.
The 2024-2025 season is chock-full of some favorites within the Broadway in New Mexico and Ovation series.
"Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in Concert," kicks off the Ovation Series on Oct. 5.
Broadway in New Mexico kicks off with the debut of "Clue" on Nov. 6-10.
"Both the Broadway in New Mexico and Ovation Series subscriptions hold a lot of excitement for the upcoming season," says Fabianna Borghese, Popejoy Hall director. "From smash hits like 'Six' that have taken the world by storm, to notable favorites such as 'Les Misérables,' there's a show for every Broadway fan. The Ovation Series features incredible cultural dance performances, creating diversity within the season and honoring many different styles, art forms and cultures."
New subscription sales begin on Tuesday, June 11, at popejoypresents.com.
To subscribe, patrons can choose the five-show Broadway in New Mexico Series or any four shows from the Ovation Series. Subscribers to both series can then add additional shows to their subscription, ensuring reserved seats before single tickets go on sale.
In addition to reserving their seats before single tickets go on sale to the general public, subscribers to both series also have an opportunity to purchase single tickets to Popejoy's Broadway shows early.
Subscriptions to the Broadway in New Mexico Series start at $235 for all five shows. Ovation Series subscriptions begin at $100 for four shows.
2024-2025 Popejoy Hall season
Oct. 5 — "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse In Concert"
The upcoming spectacle will feature the movie showcased complemented by a diverse ensemble of musicians and instrumentalists performing the film's iconic score and soundtrack live.
Oct. 13 — "Sugar Skull! A Día de Muertos Musical Adventure"
A candy skeleton springs to life in this colorful adventure for the whole family. Tasked with completing her family's Día de Muertos offrenda, a young girl encounters ancient ancestors, a sorrowful sorceress and even the famous Catrina Calavera.
Oct. 22 — "Coco Live- to-Film Concert"
Disney and Pixar's "Coco" in Concert on Tour features a screening of the complete film with the score performed by the 20-member Orquesta Folclórica Nacional de México.
Nov. 6-10 — "Clue"
Based on the fan-favorite 1985 Paramount Pictures movie and inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, "Clue" is the ultimate whodunit.
Nov. 15 — "An Evening with David Sedaris"
One of America's preeminent humor writers, David Sedaris returns to Popejoy to read new and unpublished works. (For mature audiences)
Dec. 10 — "Dog Man: The Musical"
Based on the bestselling book series by Dav Pilkey, it features the books' beloved characters, including the crime-biting sensation who is part dog, part man, and all hero.
Dec. 13 — "Canadian Brass: Making Spirits Bright"
"Making Spirits Bright," features original arrangements and signature takes on beloved holiday classics such as "I'll Be Home for Christmas," "Charlie Brown Christmas," "Silver Bells," "Songs of Hanukkah" and "Jingle Bell Rock."
Dec. 15 — "Mariachi Christmas"
The cheery music and charming dance, based in the faith and traditions found across Mexico featuring Mariachi Juvenil Aztlán.

Jan. 17 — "Capitol Fools"
Comprised of former members of The Capitol Steps, the Capitol Fools continue to pave the stairway to heavenly political satire upward.
Feb. 2 — "Ailey II: The Next Generation of Dance"
For more than 50 years, Ailey II — The Next Generation of Dance — has merged the spirit and energy of the country's finest early-career dance talent with the passion and creative vision of today's most outstanding and emerging choreographers.
Feb. 8 — "New Orleans Songbook: A Jazz at Lincoln Center Presents Production"
The soul of New Orleans and the spirit of Mardi Gras celebrates the composers and inspired songs of the Crescent City, the historic epicenter of jazz.
Feb. 13 — "R.E.S.P.E.C.T.: A Celebration of the Music of Aretha Franklin"
A tribute celebrating the music of the legendary Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin.
Feb. 14 — "Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández"
Ballet Folklórico de México was founded in 1952 by Amalia Hernández to preserve Mexico's traditional dances.
Feb. 18-23 — "Les Misérables"
Set against the backdrop of 19th century France, "Les Misérables" tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption — a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit.
Feb. 27 — "Rhythm India: Bollywood & Beyond"
Vibrant costumes, dynamic music and stirring rhythms echo the heartbeats of South Asia's royal palaces and sacred temples, desert villages and modern stages.
March 2 — "Dirty Dancing in Concert"
Enjoy the digitally remastered hit film like never before on a full-size cinema screen, with a live band and singers performing the film's iconic songs.
March 8 — Velocity Irish Dance
Following a celebrated appearance on Broadway, Velocity Irish Dance visits New Mexico with their fast-paced footwork and exceptional live music accompaniment.
March 9 — Michael Feinstein in "Because of You, My Tribute to Tony Bennett"
In this heartfelt tribute, Michael Feinstein celebrates his friend, singer Tony Bennett's legacy with style and flair.
March 18-23 — "Six"
From Tudor queens to pop icons, the six wives of Henry VIII take the microphone to remix 500 years of historical heartbreak into a euphoric celebration of 21st century girl power. Tony Award winner for Best Original Score.
March 30 — Trey McLaughlin & The Sounds of Zamar
Trey McLaughlin & The Sounds of Zamar have carved a unique place for themselves in the music world through soul-stirring arrangements of contemporary gospel, musical theater and rich original compositions.
April 4 — "Complexions Contemporary Ballet"
Rescheduled from the 2023-2024 season.
April 5 — August Wilson's "Two Trains Running"
Set in 1969 amidst the Civil Rights movement, Lee's restaurant is scheduled to be demolished to make way for urban redevelopment. A fight for justice and dignity develops as members of the Black community battle for recognition and rights.
April 6 — "The Comedy of Errors"

April 13 — "Cirque Mechanics: Pedal Punk"
Inspired by the modern circus, Cirque Mechanics takes inspiration from the Industrial Revolution and mechanical marvels. In their new show, "Pedal Punk," cycling serves as the only way to escape a technology-obsessed society.
April 24-27 — "Ain't Too Proud: The Life and Times of The Temptations"
Follows The Temptations' extraordinary journey from the streets of Detroit to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
May 10 — Adam Pascal & Anthony Rapp: "Celebrating 30 Years of Friendship & Music"

May 11 — The Doo Wop Project
