20 Best One-Liners In Netflix's "The Adam Project"
Shawn Levy's latest sci-fi adventure has enough one-liners and self-burns to make your entire family laugh all the way through.
Of course, this would be expected from a film starring the Merc with a Mouth himself, but all the other stars manage to drop some great quotes as well. So without any more delays, let's get in our time jets and fly through the 20 best one-liners in Netflix's The Adam Project.

20.Young Adam: "Who talks like that? Did you order like a Bully Starter Kit on Amazon or somethin'?"
I think whoever wrote this scene knows how hard it is to write dialogue.
19.Ellie: "I don't think it's a date." / Young Adam: "Your dress thinks it's a date."
How often is it that your kid knows more about dating than you do?
18.Ellie: "It's the third time you've been suspended for fighting." / Young Adam: "I know. You'd think I'd be better at it by now."
Clearly, he hasn't learned to roll with the punches.

Every parent knows the struggle of raising a child, and Ellie Reed sums it all up with this amusing statement. And it's especially funny when she says this as she anxiously waits for a drink.

Well, that's quite a jab at No Way Home.
12.Adult Adam: "If I wanted to hurt you, I'd have done it already. Because if I'm being perfectly honest with myself, you have a very punchable face."
Talk about self-loathing.

On top of this hilarious line, you gotta love how little Adam takes a bite out of that carrot like Bugs Bunny, which really fits with his comedic personality.
10.Young Adam: "Everyone is twice my size. I've seen babies bigger than me."
Walker Scobell is like Deadpool's Mini-Me (Shawn Levy, I hope you wrote that one down). Like Ryan Reynolds, he shoves out one-liners left and right with seemingly little effort, and this line proves that he is the perfect person to play Reynolds' younger self.
9.Adult Adam: "Teenage boys are horrible. It's like living with a urinal cake that yells at you."
I think we can all agree with that.
8.Adult Adam: "You shaved my ass with a Subaru!"
Not the best product placement.
7.Adult Adam: "On the bright side, your face now matches your soul."
We all know the trope of a villain having a scar or other kind of disfigurement to symbolize their warped soul, and it's funny to hear Ryan Reynolds go full meta and call it out.
6.Young Adam: "God, it's like I traded my brains for those muscles. It's a s*** deal."
We've all dreamed of our future selves having big muscles, but for Adam, that dream seems all but crushed after meeting his future self.
5.Laura: "Cute kid." / Adult Adam: "Precious, isn't he? Don't you just want to hold him underwater until the bubbles stop? Oh, I frickin' hate myself."
Ryan Reynolds and Zoe Salda?a have great onscreen chemistry, although this exchange implies that Adam won't have kids anytime soon.
4.Young Adam: "You have a wonderful mouth mullet. You must be proud."
From now on, I'm calling a goatee a mouth mullet.

Even Ryan Reynolds' younger self can't help but break the fourth wall. In a perfect callback to Deadpool, Adam's younger self does the classic superhero landing with his lightsaber to utter perfection. He didn't even hurt his legs.
1.Louis: "Is that my jacket? Looks tight on you…like a condom with buttons."
We've all worn a piece of clothing that's too small on us, and chances are, our parents have given us hell about it. However, I don't think any of our parents have called us a "condom with buttons." And bear in mind Young Adam's reaction in the corner there. It looks like he broke character for a moment, but he went along with it and just said "condom," showing just how good of an actor he is.
