19 Moments I Absolutely Loved In "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery"
When a group of uber-rich, selfish, and insecure friends (plus a famous detective) are invited by a tycoon to participate in a murder-mystery game on a private island, you know what's next. A REAL murder mystery!
You might be forgiven for mistaking this as the plot of Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None or Evil Under the Sun, but this is the basic premise of Rian Johnson's second mystery offering, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.
There’s Miles Brown, a kooky billionaire; Andi, Miles’s estranged co-founder; Claire, the "progressive" governor of Connecticut; Lionel, Miles’s head of R&D; Duke, a macho streamer/influencer who carries a handgun in his underwear, and his girlfriend, Whiskey; and finally, the clueless Birdie (a fashion model past her glory days) and her overworked assistant, Peg. And accompanying them is celebrated, bronzed-by-the-Southern-Sun detective, Benoit Blanc whom the billionaire host doesn't recall having invited.
