15 new restaurants are open in Volusia-Flagler: Italian, Cajun, dessert and much more
As the local dining scene continues to evolve in the Sunshine State, we are inevitably thrilled to say hello to new restaurants and disheartened to say goodbye to old favorites.
Throughout the month, while some restaurants close their doors, others serving new and unique offerings from deep-fried favorites and sauce-smothered bites to sweet treats and so much more have opened their doors here in the Daytona Beach area, keeping our stomachs full, spirits high and community thriving.

7 Brew Coffee, a drive-thru coffee chain with more than 100 locations nationwide, announced its DeLand opening in September. The coffee shop is located at 2597 S. Beachfront Nutrition
Beachfront Nutrition held its grand opening in September, serving protein shakes, waffles and more, and is located at 705 N. Ocean Shore Blvd., Unit A, in Flagler Beach. Cajun Beach Boil and Sushi
Cajun Beach Boil and Sushi – a charming outdoor eatery with unbeatable beachfront views – serves a mouthwatering medley of Cajun and seafood favorites and hosted its four-day grand opening in September. Dex N Angie House of Flavor
Dex N Angie House of Flavor re-opened at a new location in September, serving a full menu of seafood, barbecue and other sweet and savory selections. The eatery is located at 100 S. State St. in Bunnell and is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Driink Kava Bar
The Miink Premium CBD owners opened Driink Kava Bar, a new social spot to relax and unwind with an alcohol-free drink, in September at the Riverfront Shops of Daytona Beach. Elliot’s Roadside Grill
Elliott’s Roadside Grill re-branded and re-opened in September, offering a brand-new menu of country classics. The eatery is located at 4170 US-1 in Edgewater and is open from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday and 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday. Fly In Café
Fly In Café, a cozy aircraft-themed eatery, serves breakfast lunch and dinner and announced its soft opening in September. The café is located at 100 Cessna Blvd. in Port Orange and is open from 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Foxtail Coffee Co., a popular Winter Park-founded coffee chain with more than 50 locations across Florida, announced its One Daytona grand opening in September. Joy Luck Buffet
Joy Luck Buffet, a Chinese buffet-style restaurant serving soup, salad, seafood and more, replaced what was formerly The Proud Crab and announced its Port Orange opening in September. The restaurant is located at 3813 S. Nova Road in Port Orange and is open Monday through Friday for lunch from 11 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and dinner from 3:30 – 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. for all day dinner.
Nonne’s Italian Restaurant and Sports Bar
Nonne’s Italian Restaurant and Sports Bar, offering authentic Italian menu selections, Sunday ticket and wine and beer, held is grand opening in September. The eatery is located at 5901 S. Peach Cobbler Factory
Peach Cobbler Factory, serving a medley of sweet treats from pudding and cobblers to ice cream and more, opened its doors in Ormond Beach in September. The eatery is located at 1474 W. Granada Blvd., Unit 480 in Ormond Beach and is open 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. with delivery until midnight Sunday through Thursday and 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Southernly Sips
Southernly Sips began its rounds in September and currently serves Flagler County, with plans to hopefully expand to Ormond and Daytona Beach in the future. The mobile coffee shop travels to new spots each weekend – typically opening at 8 a.m. and closing by 3 or 4 p.m. – and posts its updated location and hours of operation weekly to it’s Facebook page.
Sushi King Daytona
Sushi King Daytona, serving fresh seafood, fried goods and sushi, re-opened its doors in September after temporarily closing for remodeling and adjustments over the summer. TENNESteve Trash
TENNESteve Trash, a beachside sweet stop serving freeze-dried candy, rolled ice cream, pizza cones and more, announced its grand opening at the end of September. The new eatery is located at 831 E. International Speedway Blvd. in Daytona Beach and is open from noon – 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, noon – 10 p.m. Friday, and 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Saturday.
