1.THE RUMOR: Some internet users speculated that "professional witch" Dr. Kate Tomas "used magic to seduce" her partner Andrew Garfield because she teaches a seduction masterclass.
THE TRUTH: On her podcast The Friday Emails, Kate said she temporarily removed the seduction masterclass from her website because of "horrific accusations that were leveled at [her] that [she'd] used magic to seduce [her] partner."
2.THE RUMOR: Amidst Shakira and Gerard Piqué's 2022 breakup, there was a viral rumor that Shakira allegedly discovered Gerard was cheating on her because she came home from a trip and discovered someone had been eating her strawberry jam, which she loved and he disliked and never ate.
THE TRUTH: In 2024, she told the Sunday Times the story was "not true."
3.THE RUMOR: In early 2024, Stephen Baldwin inadvertently fueled rumors that his daughter Hailey Bieber was having issues in her marriage with Justin Bieber by asking his Instagram followers to "take a moment to offer a little prayer for them." Some fans speculated that the couple "hated" each other or were headed for divorce.

THE TRUTH: In 2020, Luke responded to a tweet about "the Ash and Thao rumors" [Sierra's full name is Sierra Phu?o?ng-Tha?o Deaton, and Luke calls her Thao], saying they were "untrue" and made everyone involved "uncomfortable."

5.THE RUMOR: In late 2021, DeuxMoi shared a blind item alleging that a "well-known NBA couple" have an open relationship. Many social media users speculated the post was talking about Ayesha Curry and Steph Curry.
THE TRUTH: In early 2022, a user left a since-deleted comment on Ayesha's Instagram picture of Steph, using the rumor to shame and criticize her. She replied, calling them out for showing "disrespect" to her marriage.
6.THE RUMOR: When Miley Cyrus released "Flowers" in 2023, a viral rumor claimed that the music video was filmed in the exact house where Liam Hemsworth allegedly brought the 14+ women he cheated on her with during their marriage.
