With the resurgence of television shows coming back as reboots in response to streaming platforms' need for new content, plenty of shows have simply done it wrong. But we are not here for the mess today. Here is a list of 11 reboots that did what they were supposed to do.
Peacock / NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images 1. Saved by the Bell Bayside High is still the same Bayside High. This perfectly teases the old-school status of the first one while being original. Peacock is slaying in making this show feel special, and it's definitely one of the best reboots on the list.

This reboot from writer Saladin K. Patterson deserves all the flowers. Don Cheadle as the narrator is immaculate, and the show's feel is very similar to the original, with great acting all around.
3. Caprica This was the one! I know Peacock intends to launch a new reboot of the show (well, it's the reboot of the reboot), but the 2003 reboot, which focused on the survivors of the Cylon genocide of the 12 Colonies on the Galactica , was pretty great in its own right.
Walt Disney Television Photo Arc / ABC 4. Bel-Air Bel-Air is a more dramatic version of the original but has added elements to keep it very entertaining. Coco Jones and Jabari Banks as Hilary Banks and Will Smith respectively are especially fun to watch.

The show's nostalgic feel makes it better as a limited series.
6. The Twilight Zone Two words: Jordan Peele. The show had a hard time getting past the critics' love of the original, which is fair, but he still made a great attempt of it. This series' strength was in how it touched on social issues while retaining the horror associated with the original. It's a good reboot and worth a watch.

Disney Xd / Disney XD via Getty Images 8. iCarly Honestly, this might be the best one on this list. One of the main reasons is that the show aged so gracefully. It came back with each character grown up, and each one in a career that fits them perfectly. They tackle real issues, and even with the departure of costar Jeanette McCurdy (aka Sam), it still makes sense.

The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder is one that is slowly growing on me. The show has kept the same sense of humor and satire of the original. They've also made it apparent that they're not relying on the things they did in the early 2000s; definitely worth getting Disney+ for.
10. One Day at a Time Netflix / Via giphy.com
One thing I love about a reboot is when it makes itself relatable to the times, and this one did just. Netflix tackled cultural issues while making sure the characters presented a certain charm and comedic timing that most shows with heavy topics don't manage to do.
11. Gossip Girl This isn't show related, but I must say that the marketing behind the announcement and release of this reboot beat all the others by a mile. Now, I honestly don't think this is the best reboot on this list, but it's worth streaming for you to check it out yourself. This cast looks great and has the potential to come somewhat close to the original, but it will take time for sure.
