Meet the Third Wheel on Kevin Hart’s Honeymoon: His Personal Photographer, Kevin Kwan

Kevin Hart’s mantra is “No days off” — and that includes his honeymoon.

The Central Intelligence star is in St. Barts with his new bride, Eniko Parrish, but he’s not hanging up a “Do not disturb” sign like most newlyweds. The star, who has described social media as “everything” to him, has brought along his personal photographer, Kevin Kwan, to snap and share pics of the couple’s five-star adventures.

Because a celebrity inviting the world inside his honeymoon isn’t the norm, we tracked down Kwan to find out what it’s like being the third wheel on the intimate A-list adventure.

“Definitely the first time,” Kwan told Yahoo Celebrity when we asked if he had ever shot a honeymoon before. “But I’ve known Kevin for 10 years.”

While Kwan works for Hart, they are also friends. They met after running into each other at several Hollywood events, and soon Hart asked him “to take photos of his family,” back when the father of two was married to his first wife. That led to a full-time job six years ago. Kwan’s title is photographer/videographer and content producer.

Kwan, who was born in Hong Kong and moved to the States when he was 17, did not shoot Kevin and Eniko’s Santa Barbara, Calif., wedding (“too stressful … I was a guest with the camera”), but he was up for shooting their Caribbean honeymoon. So far we’ve seen photos of Hart strolling down the beach, flyboarding, and diving off a yacht. We’ve also had a glimpse of their luxury accommodations.

As of Thursday night, Kwan had taken “about 1,000” photos of the star since Sunday. So what’s off-limits? “Their boom-boom time,” and that’s it, he says. As for time off for R&R, he quipped, “Fill me in on what’s R&R,” though there are some photos of him biking and flyboarding on his own Instagram.

Kwan didn’t have quite as much luck as Hart:

He also gets to meet everyone Hart is working with. So Kwan was on the sets of Ride Along 2 with Ice Cube and Ken Jeong, Get Hard with Will Farrell, Central Intelligence with the Rock, as well as Think Like a Man, and Real Husbands of Hollywood. And he “always take photos” with the stars.

Right now, Kwan works seven days a week with Hart. “If I am not shooting with him by his side, I will be organizing all of the photos and content,” he notes. Does the movie star approve every photo before it goes online? “Nope, but I know what to post and what not to,” says Kwan.

As for who came up with the #dopepic hashtag that Hart uses all the time? “I believe we both did,” Kwan laughs. “I always tell him I got a dope pic for him to post [and] he uses it all the time now.”

Kwan’s favorite photo he’s taken of Hart that ended up on social media? This one with Jackie Chan:

While it seems like he’s with Hart 24/7 right now, “I am getting married myself next year, so I am going to take some time off,” he says.

Hey, maybe Hart could return the favor and photograph his honeymoon. Or perhaps he’d just enjoy a little privacy.

Editor’s note: Who didn’t get lucky on Hart’s honeymoon? Kwan. On Friday, he injured his arm during an ATV accident — not a great injury for a photog. However, he seemed in good spirits in a Snapchat video Hart posted despite his arm being in a sling.
