Mark Wahlberg is ‘Optimistic’ About Trump Presidency

Mark Wahlberg is optimistic about a Trump presidency. When asked by E! if he thinks Trump will make the country safer, he replied: “Being the positive person that I am, I have to hope so. … I have to remain optimistic that the future will get better.”
Elton John is joining the talent-search boom with his own competition. Elton John: The Cut launched Dec. 12 and is looking for creative talent to make music videos for three classic Elton John songs: “Tiny Dancer,” “Bennie and the Jets,” and “Rocket Man.” Elton and his longtime musical partner, Bernie Taupin, will be among the judges, and in a video Taupin explained the impetus behind the competition, saying that “some of our best-known songs were released before the rise of music video.” The competition also celebrates the 50th anniversary of Elton and Taupin’s working relationship. Entries open Jan. 9, 2017, and winners will also receive $10,000.
