Johnny Depp Fits Hearing Aids at Charity Event in Portugal on Same Day Amber Heard Granted Restraining Order Against Actor
As he faces an acrimonious divorce and domestic violence allegations back home in L.A., Johnny Depp is halfway around the world playing and making a charity appearance with his band Hollywood Vampires.
The actor along with Alice Cooper, Robert Deleo and Bruce Wikin were seen fitting and adjusting hearing aids to support the Starkey Hearing Foundation, hours before their Rock in Rio festival performance in Lisbon, Portugal on Friday.
The Alice Through the Looking Glass star seemed in good spirits as he played with his band and interacted with fans on stage. However, as the show went on Depp became visibly sweaty and was smoking throughout the band’s performance.

The actress, who has been married for 15 months, also submitted a recent photo of herself with what appears to be a bruise on her right eye as evidence in the claim. In court filings, Heard, 30, claims Depp hit her with a cell phone, pulled her hair and screamed at her last Saturday night – and was abusive to her throughout their 15-month marriage.
“During the entirety of our relationship, Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive to me,” she claims in the documents. Heard, who sported a visible black eye, was seen breaking down in tears as she left the LA courthouse following the granting of her restraining order.
The judge ordered Depp to stay 100 yards away from Heard and granted her exclusive use of their apartment. Depp was not ordered to pay any temporary spousal support or attorney’s fees.
Depp’s attorney filed a response that alleges that Heard is trying to expedite and force Depp to pay spousal support. “Amber is attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse,” said the attorney, according to court documents.
On Monday, Heard filed divorce papers citing irreconcilable differences. The document lists May 22 as the date of separation – just one day after the alleged abuse. On May 24, Depp and Hollywood Vampires put on a show at the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York.
And on Thursday, Depp broke his silence about the separation. “Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly,” a rep for the actor said in a statement to PEOPLE.
