Jaime King used Matrix StyleLink products to create her hair look for the Met Gala this year. “When doing red dress, you have to be careful not to over do it. My dress is done by one of my best friends Jason Wu and I wanted to make sure that it remained the centerpiece,” says King of her look. “I wanted my beauty look to be bright and summery, open eyes for my makeup, and and sleek back look and soft waves for my hair.”She prepped hair with Matrix StyleLink Turbo Dryer Blow Dry Spray to speed up the drying process.For makeup, King worked with artist Yumi Mori, using La Mer products to keep her skin glowing. “With China as the theme, we really wanted to empharsie the lips and the eye,” says Mori. Mori used Nars Red Square Velvet Matte Lip Pencil on King’s pout.

Our favorite red carpet couple looked flawless at the Met Gala. Chrissy Teigen’s beautiful waves were the work for hair guru Jen Atkin. Speaking with Yahoo Beauty, Atkin says the look was inspired by old Guy Bourdain photos with a hint of Bianca Jagger in the 1970s. Prepping the hair was Atkin’s most important step and she used MarulaOil Rare Oil Treatment and Rare Oil Intensive Masque. The flowers were a late addition to Teigen’s look and were pulled from an arrangement in her hotel room.

For makeup, Jenn Streicher used La Mer Soft Cream and Illuminating Eye Gel to get skin glowing and went with a dark lip. “If you do a dramatic lip keep everything else really simple. don’t go overboard on the eyes,” says Streicher. “Even if you pull your hair back the lip is enough. I would keep everything else clean to be able to pull off a dark lip such as Emily’s.”
