It’s time to get festive and unofficially kick off summer with this playful, patriotic, Memorial Day nail look from celebrity manicurist Jin Soon Choi, founder of her eponymous nail line and spas. For this red, white, and blue nail art, Choi used polish shades from her recent collaboration with goop. Here’s a step-by-step guide to getting the look.
Step 1: Apply a base coat like JINsoon Power Coat ($18) followed by JINsoon Doux ($18) to all nails.
Step 2: Using a striping brush, create slight waves with JINsoon Cool Blue diagonally from the left to the right side of the nail. Vary the thickness so one side is thicker than the other. You can do this by slightly applying more pressure with the brush as you draw the line.
Step 3: Using JINsoon Kookie White, mimic the line from Step 3 right below it.
Step 4: Repeat Step 4 using JINsoon Coquette.
Step 5: Apply a top gloss like JINsoon Top Gloss to lock in the look.
Now you’ve got a cool manicure that can take you from the pool to the BBQ in style.
